The North Country of New York has endless outdoor trails, lakes, rivers, ski mountains, venues, fields and so much more that can play host to events from all over the World. We will strive to be a one-stop resource for those interested in hosting events and/or those who already have events.

Sports-Related Travel: $52.2 Billion in direct economic impact in 2023!
A new Sports Events & Tourism Association State of the Industry Report reveals that sports-related travel provided $52.2 billion in direct economic impact in 2023, with more than 200 million people traveling to amateur and collegiate sports events, underscoring the power of the market to attract visitors across a variety of sports. The report also noted that in 63 percent of destinations surveyed, sports-related travel is the top generator of hotel room nights in their communities.

These young people are our future, and I have no doubt that in their hands, it will be a good one! Big thanks to all involved as the troop members discovered the amazing wilderness right here in New York State, learned the pivotal history of the Adirondacks in the abolitionist and suffrage movement, experienced the thrill of world-class winter sports and bonded with the Jamaican bobsled team! A picture recap of this past weekend as the Troops 144 and 4704 of Boys and Girls Scouts from Queens, NY visited and experienced North Country nature, history and sport. It started with a “movie” night (and some swag) with the Jamaica Bobsleigh and Skeletion Federation team and ended with a wonderful tour of the The Wild Center - in between all of that the kids enjoyed wonderful accommodations/hospitality at the Hotel Saranac, Curio Collection by Hilton, VIP treatment by Olympic Regional Development Authority, a visit to John Brown Farm, took in the IBSF World Cup, had a special “Birds of Prey” show at the Saranac Lake Free Library and countless visits by some amazing people.
