A work order clerk in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) is responsible for receipt of service calls, dispatching technicians, daily administration of work requests and preventative maintenance work orders, customer interface and generation of reports. Brian started his journey with NVE on the custodial staff. After expressing interest in shifting his career to focus to O&M, his team leaders supported Brian and identified opportunities to help progress towards his goal.  As a result, Brian was transferred to the O&M team and enrolled into the Local 99 Apprenticeship program to go hand in hand with our on-site, hands on training. At NVE, our employees are our most important asset. Applicants must have 5 years of experience with 500-ton chillers and 5 years of experience with 125 boiler-horsepower gas-fired boilers. An Engineering license is required. We have three available weekday overnight shifts (10:00 pm – 6:00 am) on Sun-Mon, Mon-Tues, and Tues-Wed, with some weekend shifts available depending on candidate availability. We are thrilled to announce that one of our project managers, Jason K., has been elected to the board of the Capital Chapter of IFMA (CCIFMA). Jason's new role as the Director of Communications is a testament to his hard work and commitment to professional growth. Jason started working with NVE in August 2023 as a Project Manager at USDA HQ. Since joining NVE, he has embraced the opportunity to expand his knowledge of building systems. NVE has played a role in his career growth by supporting his involvement in professional organizations related to his position. In his new role at CCIFMA, Jason will lead the committee responsible for coordinating external communication. Calling all Operating Engineers with an Active Secret Clearance! NVE is seeking an Operating Engineer to join our team supporting a large government facility within the Local 99 Union. There are currently three available weekday overnight shifts, some weekend shifts may be available as well, depending on candidate availability. Weekday Overnight Shift is 10:00 pm – 6 am (Some flexibility with start and finish time). Applicant must have at least a Secret Clearance. Engineer must have at least five (5) years of experience in the operation of chillers rated at least 500 tons, and five (5) years of experience with Boiler Boilers 125 boiler-horsepower gas-fired boilers.
