#TeachableTuesday 👨👩👧👦 Taking Mental Health Breaks as Parents As the school year comes to a close, parents will most likely have more quality time with their children. Children bring endless joy, but their demands, playdates, activities, and messes can become overwhelming. While many moments of parenting make it all worth it, parents still need regular mental health breaks to recharge. This month we are sharing some tips to help parents take those much-needed breaks while ensuring their kids are well taken care of. Our tip this week is to understand time-in vs. time-out. When taking a break, how you leave matters. Avoid leaving in anger. Instead, explain to your child that you need a moment to manage your big feelings. This models healthy coping mechanisms for them and reassures them that your break isn't because of them.
