We're so excited to announce our Q1 HOPE Hero, Angela Khalar, MSW, LCSW, LICSW! Angie is the Clinical Site Director for our two Duluth locations, and she received the award this morning from members of our executive team. Our HOPE Hero Award recognizes one person each quarter who exemplifies our HOPE values (Humility, Optimism, Person-Centeredness, Ethical practice). Her nominators shared many comments demonstrating why she's our HOPE Hero. "Angie never backs down from a challenge and makes everyone on the team feel valued," said one co-worker. Another shared, "There are very few people who don't instantly feel at ease with her, and you can see that in the way her patients appreciate her and her advocacy. She holds a strong clinical standard for providers and exemplifies for all employees in the Duluth clinics her expectation for going above and beyond for our patients." In addition to being the HOPE Hero, this month Angie celebrates her 8th Nystrom anniversary. Over the years, she has been a valuable resource and support to our patients, the community, and her fellow teammates in Duluth, as well as throughout the organization. Angie shared that "my team and the work we do for our patients and the community motivate me every day." Congratulations, Angie! You're a HOPE Hero!
