Updates

  • Yesterday, Oakland Hills Country Club celebrated the commencement of 'The Next 100,' a multi-year project that includes the construction of a new clubhouse to replace its century-old clubhouse destroyed by fire in 2022. Upon completion, the iconic views of the South Course from the pillared veranda and the vista from the course back to the clubhouse will be restored. The new clubhouse will seamlessly blend the original vision of renowned Detroit architect Howard C. Crane with modern building techniques to expand amenities and functions. "No clubhouse in golf will be able to boast the combination of history, outstanding member experience, and logistical excellence while sitting next to a Top 20 golf course," expressed Member Doyle Mosher during Tuesday's groundbreaking. The project also encompasses a new Greens and Grounds complex, repurposing of an existing building, and modifications to the golf practice range and parking facilities. Construction activities are already underway, with the grand opening of the clubhouse anticipated in 2026. The club extends its appreciation to the many individuals and organizations who have supported Oakland Hills since the fire and forthcoming construction project including: Newmann/Smith Architecture | Clark Construction | HINT-Harris Interiors | USGA | Bloomfield Township | Bloomfield Township Fire Department | Bloomfield Township Police Department | Clubshelp | The Arnold & Winnie Palmer Foundation | Club Managers Association of America (CMAA) | Clubworks
