Ogilvy Government Relations, a WPP company since 2005, is changing its name to OGR, effective December 15, 2023. Part of the rationale for the name change is to avoid any confusion with other WPP companies with a similar name; the company has not been part of the Ogilvy network for many years. OGR's bipartisan and diverse team is eager to continue providing innovative and exceptional service to its client base in 2024 and beyond. ###

Ogilvy Government Relations principal and former House Republican leadership staffer, Dee Buchanan, has compiled his take aways from the recent Speaker's race in the post below. Additionally, he shares perspective on Speaker Johnson and expectations for the upcoming legislative agenda.
Here's my take on what multi-client lobbyists (re-) learned during this month's Speaker's race. 1) Conventional wisdom isn't what it used to be, 2) We have to talk with everyone to gain real perspective and 3) We must work harder than our clients. I've also included a memo produced by Ogilvy Government Relations Republicans that provides guidance on who Speaker Johnson is, what makes him tick, why Republicans elected him, and how he plans to manage the House. #lobbying #houseofrepresentatives #governmentaffairs #governmentrelations #congress

Not only does Ogilvy Government Relations serve a premier, long-term client base -- some clients for fifteen years -- we possess the bandwidth, agility, reach, and expertise to help new clients achieve short-term goals. We are often asked to engage in three-to-six month projects, typically at the end of a fiscal or calendar year. Both are here! Legislative projects, political projects, Member caucus engagement, and impactful #flyins are just a few of the things we help corporate and non-profits with each year.
