Great mentors and coaches are memorable and stick with the sellers who they’ve impacted. Yesterday I had a great chat with Will Thoni who was the first GTM leader at Orb and who was critical in shaping the approach & success of their early customer growth. In this snippet he recounts how at Plaid great sales leaders like Jeffrey Byl, Xander O'Han, Dan Haynam, and Daniel Stadlin took him under their wings and took the time to truly develop him while giving him a few direct at-bats, as well. It’s clear the impact that these leaders’ generous approach and thoughtful coaching had on someone like Will who is primed to lead the pack when it comes to modern sales execution at startups.
