Meet the Arts MBA 2024 Fellows!
Katherine Mak, currently serving as the Assistant Manager of Cultural Services at the Leisure and Cultural Services Department of The Government of The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, contributes to the enrichment of Hong Kong's cultural landscape. While organizing diverse music and Chinese opera programs for years, she worked to bridge the gap between international artists and local communities, bringing world-class performances to the public. In recent years, she provided ticketing services for event presenters, facilitating the accessibility for audiences across Hong Kong.
Pablo Zamora is a Costa Rican orchestra conductor and educator. He currently holds positions as assistant conductor of the Austin Symphony Orchestra and is the Austin Youth Orchestra Symphony music director. Pablo is also deeply involved in music education, having worked with youth orchestras and educational programs in Costa Rica and the United States. He has participated in prestigious music festivals and studied under notable mentors, underscoring his commitment to both conducting excellence and educational outreach in music.
Jennifer Johnston is a celebrated British mezzo-soprano renowned for her exceptional performances in opera, concerts, and recitals. She has garnered numerous awards, including the Royal Philharmonic Society Singer of the Year and Gramophone’s Recording of the Year. Formerly a BBC New Generation Artist, Johnston has made significant contributions to the Bayerische Staatsoper with over 80 performances and acclaimed recordings such as Korngold's Die Tote Stadt. Beyond her musical achievements, Johnston holds roles as a Creative Consultant for the London Transport Museum, focusing on sound and music, and is a member of the Liverpool City Region Music Board.
