Happy Flag Day! Today recognizes the date in 1777 when the United States approved the design for our beloved Stars and Stripes, including the 13 alternating red and white stripes and the field of stars. The day was not officially recognized until President Woodrow Wilson established June 14 as Flag Day in 1916. June 14 is also the anniversary of the U.S. Army’s founding!
