What an energizing and productive morning at the latest Janesville Leaders’ Breakfast at Janesville Elks Lodge. The Leaders’ Breakfast is a partnership program of the City of Janesville, Wisconsin and the Forward Foundation, the charitable arm of Forward Janesville. Today the group heard from city leaders and Berry Dunn about the City’s Strategic Planning Process. Want to learn more and have your input heard as the City works to craft Janesville’s new strategic plan? They are hosting community forums – tonight at 5 p.m. at the Dr. Williams County Resource Center; tomorrow at 2 p.m. at Hedberg Public Library; and tomorrow at 6 p.m. at City Hall. Check out their page to learn more. We also heard from Superintendent Mark Holzman of the School District of Janesville, who outlined potential referendums that are on the agenda for next week’s School Board meeting. Two main cogs in Forward Janesville’s growth wheel are Workforce Development and Government Relations. We need to ensure a strong workforce today and in the future, and we work for the advancement of pro-business agendas at every level of government. We encourage everyone to share their input as we continue to move Janesville FORWARD.
