Today commemorates #Juneteenth, a significant day in our country’s history. On “June nineteenth” 1865, enslaved African Americans in Texas were finally able to celebrate their freedom. This recognition occurred more than two years after the signing of the Emancipation Proclamation in 1863, which outlawed slavery. Embracing and valuing our differences creates a culture of unity and one where we all are treated with kindness, dignity, and respect.

To promote safety while driving a forklift, some tips are included below: ► Select the safest path of travel, not necessarily the quickest ► Continuously scan your surroundings ► Avoid focusing on any one object for more than 2 seconds while moving ► Do not forget about the sides/back of your forklift ► Anticipate the actions of others ► Slow down or stop in areas of high traffic to keep a space bubble ► Make sure others see you and utilize your horn to assist with visibility #forkliftsafety #forklift #safetyatwork
