Encountering Jesus with those in prison.
About us
Prison Fellowship® trains and inspires churches and communities—inside and outside of prison—to support the restoration of those affected by incarceration. We equip correctional leaders, volunteers, and incarcerated men and women to make prisons more rehabilitative places; we advocate for a more restorative criminal justice system; and we collaborate with churches and local service providers to support former prisoners, their families, and their communities. Seek justice. Love mercy. Restore hope. Interested in volunteering with us? Please visit our Take Action page: http://bit.ly/356fJE8 ============== Prison Fellowship is a national, nonprofit organization founded in 1976 by former Nixon aide Charles Colson. Colson was incarcerated for Watergate-related charges and could not forget those he had left behind prison walls. He launched Prison Fellowship to give prisoners the opportunity to experience the radically transforming power of Christ that he had already experienced. All media and content published online or in print are for educational and informational purposes and do not constitute an endorsement from Prison Fellowship Ministries.

Brooklynn carried a heavy burden. Blaming herself for her father's mistakes, she felt angry and unworthy of friends. Nervous, but with her mother’s encouragement, she went to summer camp thanks to a Prison Fellowship Angel Tree scholarship from Camp Agape in Oregon. That week changed everything. Surrounded by love and support from counselors and the friends she always wanted, Brooklynn blossomed. Because of the love that Camp Agape, Angel Tree, and the local church showed Brooklyn through her most challenging times, Brooklynn now wants to reciprocate that love by serving others.

A Prison Fellowship Academy graduate shares how the program transformed his mindset: “The difference between me now and me then is I sat back & opened up that book. It taught me how to be a man. It taught me something I didn’t know I had in me.” #ChangeBehindBars

Breaking news: The U.S. Senate has passed the Federal Prison Oversight Act, led by Senators Jon Ossoff, Mike Braun, and Dick Durbin. Prison Fellowship President and CEO Heather Rice-Minus says, "We applaud today’s actions by the Senate in passing this landmark bill, which paves the way to ensuring conditions in prisons are safer and more humane for staff and incarcerated people alike. We're honored that so many of our formerly incarcerated employees were willing to share their stories in hopes that the Senate would listen and pass the bill. Now that it has passed in both the Senate and House, we are eager for the bill to become law."
