The historic Ship Supply Building, constructed in 1916, will be modernized into a 15,000 square foot facility featuring work, fabrication, and event space for new business incubators and anchor tenants. This week was the 75th anniversary of SEA Airport on July 9. The celebrations began on Tuesday when Commissioners introduced a proclamation recognizing this major milestone. Festivities continued throughout the week with activations for travelers at the airport, a gathering for our tenant and community partners, and recognition events for airport staff. This Saturday, July 13, we’ll celebrate at The Museum of Flight with a screening of our airport mini-documentaries and an aviation panel featuring current and former airport directors. Lastly, we’ll be at the annual Olde Burien Block Party hosted by Discover Burien on July 20. Our Port of Seattle Police and Fire departments will be joining us and there will be lots of family-friendly activities.
