There's only one thing you can do. Accept that job security is out. Career agility is in, and not going away. Even if you wish it was different. The cycles of change aren't bad. In fact, the market isn't the only change agent. You've changed too. You're wiser, and have different priorities. Stay loose and flexible. Tightening up to force outcomes restricts opportunity flow. That doesn't mean don't care or strive any less. It means do your part, to stay focused and mobilized.
