How important is feedback to you during supervision? 🤔 The PBS Ethics Committee reminds us that feedback should be bi-directional. Supervisors can promote feedback from their supervises by fostering an environment grounded in psychological safety. Here’s what this may look like: ✔️A supervisor regularly schedules dedicated time for feedback sessions where both parties share their perspectives. ✔️Supervisors can ask open-ended questions (e.g., "What support do you need from me to succeed?" or "How can I improve in my role to better support you?") These approaches not only validates the supervisee's experiences but also models the importance of continuous improvement and open communication between both parties. Stay tuned all summer long as we continue to provide supervision tips for both supervisors AND supervisees! #ethicstips #ethics #behavioranalysis #supervision #behaviortechnician #behavioranalyst #familiesfirst #teampbs

According to the American Psychological Association, heterosexism is “Prejudice against any nonheterosexual form of behavior, relationship, or community, particularly the denigration of LGBTQ+ people.” The PBS Corp Diversity, Culture, and Inclusion Committee (DCIC) supports the development of programs and resources for underrepresented groups. Read to learn more as we walk through the topic of heterosexism with microaggressions you should avoid and be mindful of when interacting with others. Stay tuned for more insights from PBS DCIC on navigating microaggressions. #microaggressions #heterosexism #behavioranalysis #aba #behavioralhealth #behaviortechnician #behavioranalyst #familiesfirst #teampbs

Here comes PBS Central Michigan! 🚐 A special thank you to Co-Regional Coordinators Darla Kril & Katie Dryden, MS, BCBA for organizing such an awesome event for all to enjoy. Darla writes "Everyone was able to spend time with one another and chat, and eat--the crab rangoon nachos may have stolen the show. 'Flat Mike' made lots of friends, and is invited to all future PBS social events, as well as on some other adventures." Another tour stop for the books ✔️ Follow along all year long as Dr. Nolan & Tammy tour our PBS regions and connect with our teams! #centralmichigan #pbstour2024 #behavioranalyst #behaviortechnician #ABAJobs #ABA #familiesfirst #teampbs

First things first, show us the data 🫡🦸 Check out this awesome throwback picture of Dr. Michael Nolan and Tammy Nolan at their tour stop with our PBS East Missouri team! Shannon OLeary, our Senior Expansion Director said it best during their tour event: "He [Dr. Nolan] makes it all possible! He is a visionary, he's put everything into motion, and keeps us moving in all the right directions. Tammy is the woman behind Dr. Nolan, who's driving the van, meeting the teams, and will know all of your names, your kids' names, your pets' names, your birthdays, etc. She supports him and supports all of us! We call her our first lady!" We're so thankful to have our PBS superhero duo leading our teams and propelling us forward in the ABA field. #behavioranalysis #ABA #behaviortechnician #behavioranalyst #pbstour2024 #autismsupport #autismacceptance #familiesfirst #teampbs
