The Preferred team had a great experience attending #spe 2024 HFTC. We presented the results from several field studies on proppant flowback aimed at understanding proppant settling near wellbore area for Resin Coated Sand Placement Optimization. Summarized in the chart below, we have found that the majority of the flowback to the surface is composed of "lead-in" sand pumped early on. Our Preferred Genoa team and their families had a great time during Pawnee Days last weekend! There were many activities and raffles to be part of, like the Bike-a-thon on Friday, which supported Twin River Elementary School. Preferred was happy to get the chance to participate in and give back to Sunday’s parade… from cinch bags donations to candy and toy giveaways, and even a Preferred truck riding in the parade! Thanks to all involved and allowing Preferred to celebrate its community in such a fun way!

The Piping Plover and Interior Least Tern are two endangered bird species that Preferred Sands of Genoa and the University of Nebraska are on a mission to protect and save. These birds lay nests in our mine, in Nebraska, along the Loup River. With the help from the Tern and Plover Conservation Partnership, Nebraska Game and Parks Commission, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS), Nebraska Environmental Trust, and a group of cooperators, Preferred property has become a regular site for our winged visitors. Preferred Sands of Genoa team has been protecting these birds and their little eggs, that sit on top of the sand, to prevent interference and endangerment to the birds.
