There's no place like home, and there's no place like Golden. There has been one constant throughout Coors’s 150-year history: its hometown of Golden, Colo. At the heart of the Coors story, Golden and Coors have been entwined with each other from the beginning. It’s not only where the roots of the Coors family are; it’s connected generations of families in Golden and beyond who can take pride in making, celebrating and distributing some of the world’s best beer. In the final installment of our six-part series commemorating Coors’ 150 years, we take a look at how Golden has shaped this business of families.

Growing from a small brewery to surviving Prohibition on its way to becoming an industrial marvel, it’s the Coors way to do everything at home. From sourcing raw materials to making its own bottles to maintaining control of its barley and beyond, the Coors family’s visionary strategy of having a hand in every aspect of the brewing process led to unparalleled quality and efficiency. In part four of our six-part series exploring Coors’ 150-year history, we dive into the world of vertical integration in the Golden Valley, celebrating the ingenuity that has made Coors a symbol of innovation for generations. A massive mural in celebration of Coors' 150th anniversary is starting to take shape. The 7,425 square-foot mural covers part of our Golden brewery and takes inspiration from Colorado’s vibrant landscape, sunsets and landmarks -- as well as the iconic Coors script logo. The mural by @thedesignosaur is just one way Molson Coors is celebrating the city of Golden during the anniversary celebrations. We've donated $50,000 to the Foothills Art Center and Coors is hosting an anniversary bash in Golden later this month. Read more about the mural and our anniversary plans:
