While individual skills are important, prioritize a team that functions well together. This means strong communication, collaboration, and a positive atmosphere are the key. 👌

“Team dynamics matters more to me than individual specialties.” - Stacey Clermont I really enjoyed this conversation with Stacey Clermont about managing SEO teams. She has a great understanding of the soft skills and subtleties that impact team dynamics and, ultimately, the effectiveness of an SEO team. Hard skills and technical skills are important in SEO, but it is critical to sharpen your soft skills to continue progressing your career in SEO. Stacey and I hit on: - Composition of an SEO team - Nurturing and developing soft skills - SEO Leadership styles - SEO team management and ensuring quality of output Check out the episode in the comments:

AI acts like a superpowered detective for Google, uncovering what kind of content users are looking for. This helps Google surface the information users truly need, whether it's a comprehensive answer, a specific product review, or an engaging video.

I had the pleasure of connecting today with Erfan Azimi on the Voices of Search podcast. Erfan discovered and shared the Google API documentation, which led to some of the great work of Rand Fishkin and Mike King. I greatly respect his desire to share this with the SEO community. We discussed how he came across the documentation (I love the irony in him finding it on Google 😂 ), how it helps shape our perspective on search, and some of the exciting work this will lead to. Look forward to sharing the conversation soon!

It might seem like Google favors brand new websites, but that's not quite true. Google's goal is to show the most helpful and trustworthy results for each search, so they take time to evaluate where a new site should rank.
