Updates

  • 𝗛𝘂𝗿𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗻𝗲 𝗕𝗲𝗿𝘆𝗹 𝗨𝗽𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝟳/𝟭/𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰 - RavenVolt Inc, An ABM Company Hurricane Beryl is currently located about 30 miles west of Carriacou Island and about 35 miles west-northwest of Grenada with maximum sustained winds of 150 MPH, moving west-northwest at 20 MPH. Maximum central pressure has dropped to 946 MB. Hurricane-force winds extend 40 miles from the center, and tropical storm-force winds extend outward up to 125 miles from the center. Hurricane conditions are occurring in the hurricane warning area, and catastrophic wind damage is expected as Beryl's eyewall is moving through the southern Windward Islands today. Beryl will continue to track west-northwestward across the Caribbean Sea over warmer-than-average water temperatures. By mid-week, Beryl may encounter higher wind shear as the system moves toward the western Caribbean. Wind shear and interaction with larger islands of the area may lessen the intensity, but it will likely remain a dangerous hurricane. The most likely scenario is for Beryl to move into Mexico late this week, but if the high-pressure system across the southeast weakens, the storm could move farther north with possible impacts to the U.S. Gulf Coast. Tropical rainstorms to the east of Beryl will likely strengthen into another tropical storm before reaching the Windward Islands around July 3rd or 4th. While this system is not expected to reach the intensity of Beryl, it could strengthen into the next hurricane before moving into the Caribbean. This system will likely track very similar to Beryl and hinder recovery from the areas damaged by Beryl.

  • 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰 𝗛𝘂𝗿𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗻𝗲 𝗦𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗨𝗽𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲 - 𝗧𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗺 𝗔𝗹𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗼 - RavenVolt Inc, An ABM Company Tropical Storm Alberto has formed in the Gulf of Mexico and is expected to make landfall in northeastern Mexico Thursday morning. This storm will bring heavy coastal rainfall and flooding across northeastern Mexico, Texas, and Louisiana through Thursday. Tropical wind gusts from 40 to 60 mph are expected along the coastline from Mexico to Louisiana, with the strongest gusts along the southern tip of Texas and the northeastern Mexico border. Storm surge will range from 1 to 3 feet in most coastal areas, with Houston and Galveston areas reaching 3 to 6 feet in low-lying areas. We are monitoring another tropical system in the Gulf of Mexico that may develop by the end of this week. Should development occur, we will update on possible impacts on the United States this weekend and early next week. The system off Florida's Atlantic coast is expected to bring additional heavy rainfall to the Southeast coast from Florida to the Outer Banks of North Carolina later this week through Saturday. Although a low-end tropical storm could form, this is a quick-moving system that should limit its strengthening. There is a possibility that the heat dome over the Midwest and Northeast could interfere with this system in a way that may limit the amount of rainfall along the Southeast coast. Beachgoers should be aware of rough surf and strong rip currents through next week. Stay safe! #abm
