Join me May 9th 3pm ET/ 12pm PT for the world premiere of “Coming Home”, a film that captures how my upbringing made me a scientist, instilling in me curiosity, and values like equity and solidarity, which guide my work today. https://lnkd.in/gtwUztKv By delving into the intricate connections between community, identities, culture, and science, “Coming Home” celebrates the invaluable scientific wisdom held by historically excluded groups. The Rita Allen Foundation was pleased to partner with the Burroughs Wellcome Fund to engage Nic Bennett and Anthony Dudo from the Center for Media Engagement at the The University of Texas at Austin to conduct a new study exploring the landscape of arts-science collaboration. The report, The Landscape of Art-Science Collaboration Programs, draws from interviews with 23 program directors and highlights both the potential and continuing challenges of programs placed at interdisciplinary intersections. “We hope this mapping of boundary spanning programs operating at the intersections of the sciences and the arts, and learning from their experiences, can help inform civic science innovators working to forge connections and collaborations rooted in deep curiosity and ‘beautiful questions.’” -Elizabeth Christopherson, President and CEO, Rita Allen Foundation Learn more: https://lnkd.in/g6nyNv2k

NEXT WEEK: Have you ever wondered if you're using the right civic language to reach your audiences? Are they really hearing what you're trying to communicate? Join PACE as we release brand new data from the Civic Language Perceptions Project on how Americans perceive the most commonly heard words in civic spaces, and how these perceptions change based on gender, race, age, and more. We'll also start digging into which terms bring people together, which are more divisive, and what we should say instead. Register here: https://lnkd.in/e3F77aXn
