This week we cut the ribbon on our newest Ronald McDonald House inside Children's Mercy Kansas City! We've expanded our previous Ronald McDonald Family Room to offer even more of what matters most: 10 cozy bedrooms, three bathrooms, additional laundry facilities, and 24/7 access for families. We're dedicated to providing even greater support and comfort to families in need! For more information, see Tami's latest blog post: https://lnkd.in/gmygSGwx Thank you to JE Dunn Construction and Pulse Design Group for their outstanding work creating a space for families to relax and find respite just steps away from their child. And, to our amazing donors without whom the space would not be possible. We can't wait to open the doors to our families on July 8. #KeepingFamiliesClose

Last night we celebrated the Gold Key Project - a partnership with ReeceNichols Real Estate - hitting $1 million for Ronald McDonald House since its inception in 2020! We are so grateful for every Gold Key Agent who donates $100 for every house they sell from April to October year after year, which is the amount it costs for RMHC-KC to house a family for one night. An incredible impact for our the families with sick children we serve. And they aren't stopping there! We are looking forward to seeing what is to come from this amazing group of committed agents. #BringingHeartsandHomesTogether

In 2014, then 15-year-old Nick was in a car accident and was flown to Children's Mercy Kansas City. Due to a spinal cord injury, he was paralyzed from the chest down. Nick's family stayed close by his side at the Ronald McDonald House for 47 days. This May, at almost 25 years old, Nick graduated from Washburn University with an education degree! We love getting updates from our families and congratulate Nick on his determination and all he has accomplished! #KeepingFamiliesClose #Classof2024 #Graduation

Huge thanks to The Prospect KC for preparing a delicious "Drop N Dine" meal for our families! Drop N Dine is a special program that allows families to "drop" their children off for a fun volunteer activity while they dine on a gourmet meal and unwind with a local chef or restaurant team. It is a wonderful treat and often the only date night families have had in quite some time! #KeepingFamiliesClose
