Erin joins us as a Senior Consultant with expertise in change management, Power Platform Governance, and adoption/enablement. With 3+ years in the partner space, Erin worked on 60+ projects, focused on the Healthcare industry before moving internally. As the Power Platform Product Owner, Erin implemented CoE (Center of Excellence) and built a large-scale Citizen Development community. Imagine you're the new owner of a pet boarding company. You happily take care of all animals - from cats to dogs, snakes to parakeets. Now imagine if your facility boarded these pets regardless of the sound they made. The cacophony! The clash of tweets, meows, squawks, woofs, and yaps would echo through the facility, no matter where you were. How much better would it be if you boarded the animals by the sounds they make? In her first post for Root16, Ivy Leigh Garland walks us through this use case using Power Fx and the Switch () function. Power Fx is a low-code language that can be used in the Power Platform to implement complex logic (like grouping animals by type and sound), without the need for a developer.
