Picture this: it's 1938, FDR is president of the United States, WWII hasn’t started yet but Germany is starting to move through Europe as a precursor to the war, Joe Louis has knocked out Max Schmeling in the first round of their rematch at Old Yankee Stadium, the first appearance of comic book superhero Superman (as a backup story), in Action Comics #1 takes place, and Building 900 is built as a training barracks at Ft. Sill, Oklahoma. Ross Group has taken on the challenge of renovating this historic structure into Modern UEPH (Unaccompanied Enlisted Personnel Housing) Barracks. This 3-story building with a full basement will be stripped back to the structural elements and exterior façade. The building will receive new structural elements to help extend the life of the building and will receive new interior MEP systems and interior finishes throughout the building. Ross Group loves these types of projects and is ready to rise to the challenge.

Ross Group is making progress at the McAlester Health Clinic project! The parking lots are approximately 70% complete and turned over to the client; the temporary parking was removed to allow work on the retention pond. The PVC (Polyvinyl chloride) membrane roof and exterior sheathing are near completion, the interior framing is laid out, and walls spanning from floor to roof deck have been installed. Mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire suppression rough-in are underway. Half of the fire suppression lines have been completed and will be closely followed by duct and hydronic piping. Installation is complete for the piping for the pneumatic tube system that will deliver canisters from the pharmacy to various departments throughout the building, and installation of the equipment has begun. We are excited to be part of improving health care for the citizens of the McAlester community!

Our summer interns have been busy getting hands-on project experience, but they've still found time to have some fun.

Something is intriguing about separating raw natural gas into butane, propane, gasoline, and Y-grade natural gas!
