Last month at Valiant Shield 2024, a team from our Collins Aerospace business demonstrated critical capability concepts for the US Army’s Multi-domain Task Force 1 in the INDOPACOM region. EA-18G Growlers touch down in Texas ✈️ US Navy aircraft and crew visited McKinney National Airport to give 180+ Next Generation Jammer Mid-Band (NGJ-MB) employees an up-close look at the jets they’re helping to equip. The NGJ-MB, built by Raytheon, is an electronic attack system slated to be operationally deployed to the EA-18G fleet that denies, deceives and destroys enemy tech like communications tools and air-defense systems. 📰 #NEWS: Raytheon awarded $677 million US Navy contract for SPY-6 family of radars. The SPY-6 family of radars is projected to be deployed on 65 U.S. Navy ships over the next 10 years to defend against air, surface, and ballistic threats, and is the most tested, most advanced radar technology in production today. “SPY-6 provides the fleet with superior air surveillance, electronic warfare protection and enhanced detection abilities,” said Barbara Borgonovi, president of Naval Power at Raytheon.
