When we first introduced #RyanBreak, people called me crazy. “Wait, your entire Firm takes the week off…at the same time?” But you understand once you hear the stories of how much fun folks had as tourists in their own cities. Or the memories made on family road trips. Or someone sharing their absolute joy not doing anything for a week. And better yet, when our team comes back, they’re recharged, more creative, and ready to take on challenges. Sure, there are a few outliers and things still come up, but having this dedicated slowdown means we don’t return to a massive pile of emails and stress. I know it’s not for everyone, but it has been a valuable part of our culture, and it could benefit yours too.
