Congratulations to Mandy Frye, LNHA, on her new role as Administrator at The Lodge At Rocky Mount Health & Rehabilitation! 🎉 Mandy's journey began at Rocky Mount Senior High School, graduating in 2003. She pursued higher education at the University of North Carolina Wilmington and later transferred to East Carolina University, earning her Bachelor's Degree in Communications in 2007. Her professional career in long-term care started in 2009. She later joined the SanStone Health & Rehabilitation family in 2014 as the Marketing & Admissions Director. In this role, Mandy connected with each resident and their families, ensuring smooth transitions into the SanStone Community. Her dedication was recognized in 2021 when she received the President's Award at SanStone’s Annual Presidential Award Ceremony. Mandy's passion for long-term care led her to complete her Administrator in Training program in May 2024, under the guidance of former Administrator Colleen Powell, now the Regional Operations Manager. The Lodge at Rocky Mount is thrilled to have Mandy step into her new role, confident in her dedication, drive, and passion for the community. Congratulations, Mandy, and welcome to your new role! 🎉

Last night, SanStone Health & Rehabilitation was a proud sponsor of the Eblen Charities Football in July Tailgate Party. The event featured special guest, 2003 Super Bowl Champion and Black Mountain, NC native, Brad Johnson, which aimed to raise money for this wonderful nonprofit. We are immensely grateful for the compassion and tireless efforts that Eblen Charities dedicates to our community daily in countless ways! ✨

The baby boom generation is retiring at a rate of 10,000 people per day, significantly impacting how seniors live and receive care. It’s crucial for the senior living facilities to cater to the modern mindset of today’s seniors. Take, for example, this community in North Carolina, Hendersonville health and rehab, which recently renovated an ice cream parlor designed by Beckie Davis for their residents. What a delightful way to add some fun and personality to the community! As the “Silver tsunami” sweeps across America in the coming years, I love seeing unique ways communities not only stay marketable but also add a little more flavor to the lives of seniors. Great job on this project! SanStone Health & Rehabilitation I’m already looking forward to my next visit and enjoying a sweet treat.

College Pines Health & Rehabilitation would like to introduce their new Maintenance Director, Joey Laughridge! Joey has been with SanStone Health & Rehabilitation since 2021. During his time with SanStone, he started out as a housekeeper in our EVS department, moved to a PCA position during 2021, became a CNA in 2023, and has now moved into maintenance as of March 2024! Yesterday, SanStone Health and Rehabilitation attended the Blue Ridge Pride LGBTQ Health Equity Fair. This fair brings together the health care providers in our area while providing information about our services and showing support to our LGBTQ+ community! 🏳️🌈

National CNA Week is an entire week dedicated to honoring and recognizing the diligent efforts and commitment of Certified Nursing Assistants. It's an opportunity to show appreciation for the crucial role that CNAs play in providing quality care to residents in healthcare facilities. This week includes special events, celebrations, and initiatives to highlight the contributions of CNAs and to raise awareness about the importance of their work. So, thank you to all of our CNAs. Your hard work never goes unnoticed! ✨

SanStone Health & Rehabilitation's President (Jennifer Robinson), VP of Operations (David Fardulis), VP of Provider Relations (Scharee Cain Lee), VP of Revenue Services (Tracy Pracht), and Chief Strategy Officer (Alex Atchison) were in Washington, D.C. last week for AHCA/NCAL's Congressional Briefing. During their visit, they met with Senator Thom Tillis, Senator Tedd Budd, Congressman Richard Hudson, Congressman Patrick McHenry, Congressman David Rouzer, Congressman Greg Murphy, MD, and Congressman Wiley Nickel's staff on Capitol Hill to discuss issues impacting skilled nursing facilities.
