It's a big day for Seae Ventures! We are so proud to announce the strategic acquisition of Unseen Capital. Unseen Capital is a venture capital firm focused on investing in innovators who are intimately familiar with the challenges faced by marginalized communities. By supporting these entrepreneurs, Unseen Capital’s aim has been to drive systemic change and democratize healthcare access. This acquisition will leverage the combined strengths and missions of both our funds to further serve underrepresented entrepreneurs and marginalized communities. Erica Murdock will be Unseen’s Managing Director where she will lead the charge in building the team to support Unseen’s existing portfolio and the go-forward early seed stage strategy. “Together with Unseen Capital, we are united in our vision to significantly impact the flow of venture capital to underrepresented founders, many of whom traditionally have had limited access to funding. Our strategy at Seae will incorporate Unseen’s resources into an early seed investment approach, and we will continue to build upon this foundation by raising additional capital. "911 Dispatchers will be assessing each call that comes in to best assess needs. Non-emergency calls will be relayed to a professional trained in emergency medicine through telehealth. Those experts will then conduct virtual visits and be able to provide services on everything from prescriptions and transportation to medical facilities to behavioral health support and community resources." The other weekend, our Principals Karlos Bledsoe and Justin Williams, M.S. cycled 113 miles from Chicago, IL to New Buffalo, MI for " Le Tour de Shore", hosted by Maywood Fine Arts Association. MFAA is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing high quality arts instruction to the children of Maywood and surrounding communities. Today commemorates the fourth anniversary of Juneteenth being recognized as a federal holiday. It marks the day federal troops arrived in Texas to enforce The Emancipation Proclamation, two years after its issuance. "On Juneteenth, may we celebrate the essence of freedom that galvanized the country, the progress we have made in our Nation, and all that is possible when we march forward together. May we all recommit to redeeming the very soul of America — choosing love over hate, unity over division, and progress over retreat."

Kyrieá earned her Master's in Biotechnology from Morehouse School of Medicine and has accumulated several years of experience in different laboratory settings with companies such as WuXi AppTec and Novartis. Social determinants of health (SDOH), the conditions in which people are born, grow, live, work, and age, significantly impact health inequities. In 2021, the Seventy-fourth World Health Assembly adopted resolution WHA74.16, urging Member States to integrate SDOH into public policies and use multisectoral approaches. The resulting Operational Framework provides crucial guidance on monitoring SDOH and using data for cross-sector policy actions to improve health equity. Endorsed at the Seventy-sixth World Health Assembly, this resource supports national governments and partners in advancing global health equity. We are excited to welcome another VC Fellow, Hassan Muhammad, PharmD, RPh! Dr. Muhammad just graduated from Florida A&M University with his Doctor of Pharmacy degree in 2017 and has 7 years of pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry experience, most recently at Gilead Sciences as a Brand Market Access Lead.
