In May, our partner, U.S. Bank presented a check of $500,000 to Business Impact NW. 🏆 Congratulations to our President and CEO, Alisha Valavanis and her twin, Alexa Benson-Valavanis on being inducted into the Chico Sports Hall of Fame yesterday! Alisha and Alexa played college basketball at Chico State and Alisha went on to serve as an assistant coach for the Wildcats for four years. Congrats to you both ☀

Today we opened the doors of the Seattle Storm Center for Basketball Performance to members of the media for an exclusive look at our new home.   We are so thankful to all of our partners and visionaries who brought this to life, especially our owners, Lisa Brummel, Ginny Gilder, and Dawn Trudeau. Now our players, coaches, and front office staff have a place to collaborate and perform at the highest level.

☕ Presenting the first Founding Partner of our new Storm Center for Basketball Performance, and the Official Coffee & Tea of the Storm: Starbucks. Thanks to Starbucks, every rebound by a Storm player this season will generate a donation to the Urban League of Metropolitan Seattle, to help our unhoused community. Together, we will foster an environment for local non-profits to amplify resources available to those in need, welcome community members to experience Storm games at Climate Pledge Arena, and create a sense of belonging at our new home in Interbay by providing access & positive coaching to underserved communities.
