The amount of fluorotelomer alcohols measured in the study on gas phase emissions of #PFAS from landfills is eye-opening. We know a lot about landfill leachate PFAS emissions, but air, not so much and this study indicates we need to be looking more. FTOHs transform into perfluorinated carboxylic acids like PFHxA and PFOA, so they are an ongoing source of persistent and toxic PFAAs.
Our Orlando laboratory has achieved a new significant milestone with accreditation from the Department of Energy Consolidated Audit Program (DOECAP) for non-radioactive samples! This accomplishment enhances our capabilities in providing top-tier environmental analytical data for DOE sites, including specialized PFAS testing by EPA methods 533, 537.1, and 1633.
