>Soccer in the Streets is forever committed to working with communities to expand access to soccer for Atlanta's children⚽!! >Recently, we began a pilot program in partnership with the City of Atlanta Parks and Recreation Department to introduce the game of Futsal to kids in several neighborhoods. >What is "Futsal," you ask? Futsal is a type of soccer game played on hardcourts (often basketball courts) with a smaller ball and 5 players per side. >This game is highly useful for SITS because it prepares children for the 5 aside play in our StationSoccer leagues. >The first of a series of jamboree-style immersion events happened last Tuesday at Bessie Branham Park in Kirkwood. The next two will be at Peachtree Hills Rec Center. THIS AFTERNOON from 2-4 and next Tuesday from 2-4 again! >Thanks to our friends at Parks and Rec and, especially, deep, deep thanks to our friends at Senda Athletics for sponsoring the equipment used for this project!!

Thank you for all that you do, Jenny! Your commitment to Soccer in the Streets is fantastic! 🙌
Last weekend I had the honor of sharing my passion for Soccer in the Streets with summer associates, associates, and other colleagues from Alston & Bird in the annual Corporate Cup. As a team we were able to raise over $7,500 for this great organization and come away with a 2-2 record in the blistering heat! #atlanta #soccer

At Soccer in the Streets we are very fortunate to have community friends and partners like Michelle C. Wallace! As the saying says "If you can see her, you can be her", and women like Michelle are making a real world impact by speaking with the young women of our "Girls With Goals" Camp!!
Filled my cup this morning speaking to the Girls with Goals summer camp attendees for Soccer in the Streets. Soccer in the Streets is making soccer more accesible to all communities through Station Soccer at various Marta stations in Atlanta. Honored to speak with the young ladies about my career path and to teach them how to use a stethoscope and count their pulses. The way their eyes lit up when they found the carotid pulse and could hear S1 and S2 made my day. The future of pediatric cardiology will hopefully be these bright young ladies! Thank you Chelsea Wood and Grace Henderson for inviting me! Wonderful to meet you Sanjay Patel and Deidre Ousterhout! Now I need to learn to play soccer again! #funinmedicine
