Last week, SOCOTEC had the privilege of hosting BOMA New York at our Times Square headquarters for a panel session focused on “Navigating Local Law 126,” a local ordinance that requires owners of parking structures to have their garages inspected every six years, and to file a report with inspection results to the Department of Buildings. The evening seamlessly blended professional networking with in-depth discussions about the complexities of the local law and the requirements for structural maintenance and reporting. These conversations are especially pertinent as initial observation reports for garage structures are due by August 1. We extend our heartfelt thanks to our esteemed presenters, Michael Chen from SOCOTEC and Nicholas Morris, CAPP from Laz Parking, for their valuable insights. Following the panel, the SOCOTEC happy hour provided an excellent opportunity for further discussion and meaningful connections. Thank you to BOMA New York, LAZ Parking, The Durst Organization, and all the other participants and team members for making the event a tremendous success. We enjoyed an evening that was both highly informative, and incredibly fun with new and old friends. Our team can’t wait to host our next event!
