Last week we welcomed our 2024 summer interns! We kicked off the week with a welcome lunch, and ended with an ice cream social. They had a full week of learning and we are excited to see the new application they develop by the end of their 8 week internship. #summerintern #funatwork #softwareengineering

Excited to share that recently I've been diving deep into AI embeddings, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and experimenting with the Weaviate vector database! It's been an interesting learning journey so far, and I'm thrilled about the potential applications these technologies have in enhancing the software solutions we develop here at Solution Street. Stay tuned for a blog article later this month where I'll share insights and practical tips from my experiences. #AI #MachineLearning #Weaviate #TechInnovation #SoftwareDevelopment #ContinuousLearning

The other day I was listening to a new podcast https://lnkd.in/eF8TnHkt that was recommended by a Solution Street colleague, and on that podcast they started to discuss the concept of “model collapse”. I had not heard this exact term before, but I did wonder about the concept in the past, which is basically “what happens when new generative models start to create content based on other/previously generated content?” Does this lead to less unique and original results? Could this lead to AI tools becoming less accurate, reliable, and useful. As AI technology grows, some experts worry that we might see this happen. But is it really possible? Or can we prevent it with the right steps? What do you think? Is model collapse something we should be worried about in the future, or is it just a myth? Share your thoughts in the comments below! #AI #MachineLearning #LLM #FutureOfAI #TechTalk #Innovation #ModelCollapse

I was honored to hand out another 10th anniversary hoodie and plaque this weekend. This one was extra special because it was to my sister in law Kelly Nylund. She has actually worked with us for over 15 years (the first five as a subcontractor). In the early days she helped with recruiting and more recently she has been a software tester and a technical writer for our customers. Thank you Kelly, it’s been an amazing ride so far, we are very thankful for you every day!
