It's important for everyday people who care and who believe that housing is a human right to hold local officials accountable for implementing policies that end homelessness rather than criminalize it. https://lnkd.in/gTMgS9nj

Happy Juneteenth! SOS Community Services will be closed today in observance of Juneteenth, this includes both our offices and our food pantry. Juneteenth commemorates when the last group of enslaved people in Galveston, Texas were finally notified of their freedom in 1865….more than two and a half years after the Emancipation Proclamation was signed. We celebrate Black and African American achievement, legacy, freedom, and heritage.
