"We are going to be on TV!" As part of Development Camp, Pittsburgh Penguins prospects hosted a ball hockey clinic at DICK'S Sporting Goods House of Sport. Penguins prospects worked up a sweat with Boys & Girls Clubs of Western Pennsylvania and the Special Olympics Pennsylvania Dek Hockey team playing, visiting with Iceburgh and smiling for the camera. Connecting with the community is what being a Penguin is all about!

Second annual Philadelphia UNcathlon = COMPLETE! ✅ Last Saturday, the Greater Philadelphia Region hosted the second annual Philadelphia UNcathlon, presented by Energy Transfer, at the Philadelphia Eagles NovaCare Sports Complex! It was simply the best day full of electrifying competition and inspiring teamwork. This year, the UNcathlon had over 120 Unified competitors – Special Olympics Pennsylvania athletes and corporate partners paired together – across 20 Unified teams... Who raised nearly $100,000 for Special Olympics Pennsylvania! 👏 Alongside our awesome teams, over 60 volunteers and the Philadelphia Eagles helped make this event possible. WE ARE AMAZED! These teams went head-to-head in ten sports skills events: football target throw, field goal kick, 40-yard dash, shuttle relay, standing high jump, lateral jumping, bocce skills, football taps, football distance throw and soccer skills – with the first and most important event being the team fundraising competition. 🏆 Congratulations to the 2024 UNcathlon Cup winners: Bimbo Bakeries - Fightin' Ositos! Philadelphia Insurance Companies 🤝 Unified Sports Experience On Thursday, June 13, Philadelphia Insurance Companies and Special Olympics Pennsylvania teamed up to bring the Bocce Unified Sports Experience to TeamPHLY's headquarters in Bala Cynwyd! 💪 The day was quite busy, as a competitive bocce tournament kicked off featuring Unified teams comprised of Special Olympics Pennsylvania athletes and TeamPHLY employees. 📣 Additional TeamPHLY employees brought even more energy, becoming "fans in the stands" to cheer on athletes and Unified teammates! 💙 THANK YOU to TeamPHLY for providing such a great tournament for the athletes and Unified teammates, and giving their employees the opportunity to experience all that is INCREDIBLE about Unified Sports!
