Today's student spotlight shines on Lauren Byard from our MBA Cohort! Lauren was recently promoted as a Service Coordinator for the Dallas Cowboys. Her journey is a testament to the value of internships, hard work, and a great attitude. She has had multiple internships with the Cowboys, ample sales experience, and she was the graduate assistant for our Sports Entertainment Management program! “I credit my success to my family, past coworkers, and professors who have supported me throughout all my work experience and continuously offered guidance,” Byard says. Now that she’s reached her short-term goal of receiving a full-time position with the Dallas Cowboys, she wants to “continue growing, learning, and helping others throughout [her] career.” Congratulations Lauren! We can’t wait to see more of your success and growth in the future!

Tatiana Y. Mendez, Director of Ticket Operations and Client Services for the Texas Legends, joined the undergraduate Ticket Operations class as a guest speaker. Tatiana graduated from our Sport Entertainment Management BBA program and has been working for the Texas Legends for three years. In class, she discussed some common obstacles she has faced in group sales, ways to overcome them, and her experience with data analytics. She also shared the differences between game day operations, business development, and ticket operations she observed during her trajectory from an intern to a directorial position. A special thank you to Tatiana for her involvement in the program not only as a sports professional but as an esteemed alumna!
