We have steadily increased our investments in America since our founding in 1974. Starting with 50 employees that assembled only one model of chain saw, today, we now have 1 Million square feet under roof, on over 150 acres, employ approximately 2,100 people nationwide, with 1,900 in Virginia Beach, Va., and manufacture more than 80 models of handheld outdoor power equipment for sale in the U.S. and around the world. The majority of STIHL products sold in America are also built in America* and STIHL Inc. not only exports products to more than 90 countries but produces the majority of STIHL units for the world market. 🎉Meet Hannah, our Trimmer Line intern! Hannah is a Virginia Beach local and is currently a Business IT Systems Senior at Old Dominion University. She recently adopted her dog Bella who has quickly become her best friend. 🚀As part of Hannah's internship, she is working with different departments to strengthen STIHL's Trimmer Line position within the competitive market. 🐶In her free time, Hannah loves to drive off-road on the beach, especially with her dog Bella. 📈Using her knowledge from university and the hands-on quality checks at the Trimmer Line facility, Hannah aims to obtain a better understanding of the analytical side of sales.

🎉 Meet Kenzo, our Marketing intern! Kenzo is from Munich, Germany but studied Business Administration in Vienna, Austria. Upon graduation, he joined the STIHL, Inc. Social Media department for a 6-month internship. 🚀 His goal is to delve deeper into the realm of Social Media Marketing by assisting in the planning, design, capture and publishing of social content. 🗺 Kenzo loves to travel, and has lived in different countries such as Singapore and Canada. 📸 As part of his internship, Kenzo is participating in multiple social media content shoots, including supporting our recent efforts in the Pacific Northwest as a production assistant.

We worked alongside Team STIHL’s Katelyn Johnson and Mark Chisholm, and influencer Jason Ambro to push creative boundaries and capture exceptional content. We captured content at Wayne's Chainsaw Museum, a private property in Chehalis, and a tree farm in Washington state. Collaborating with our creative team from imre, we are excited to share the results soon.

🎉Meet Adalyn, our Human Resources Intern! Adalyn is a Communication Studies Senior at Christopher Newport University and was inspired to join the STIHL HR department after visiting the internship fair. 🙌Her internship is unique as she will experience all areas of Human Resources, rotating every 1-2 weeks. 🏃♀️Adalyn is currently training to run her first marathon in Richmond this November! 💡She will be working on many smaller projects; however, she is most excited for the logistics planning of the STIHL Manufacturing Technology Summer Camp this July.

Caleb has worked with the Student Support Services as a math and science tutor. 🚀Throughout his internship with STIHL Inc., Caleb aims to delve deeper into the realm of technical writing while integrating his knowledge of engineering. 💡Caleb was salutatorian of his high school class while also being captain of the track, cross-country, and academic teams. 📝His projects this summer include working on official training documents for one of our machine clusters to help train our operators as well as improve efficiency in the facility.
