Congratulations to Nandini Sankara, our Vice President of Marketing and Brand strategy on being named to Global G.L.O.W.'s Speakers Bureau.
We are thrilled to announce our new Global G.L.O.W. Speakers Bureau, providing free keynote speakers for leadership events, conferences, employee resource groups and professional development trainings! Global G.L.O.W. Speaker Ambassadors provide talks on issues impacting women and girls globally, and speak free of charge in service to the organization. Our speakers include best-selling authors, former US Ambassadors’ aides, podcast hosts, college deans and so many more. Most interesting about this Speakers Bureau is that for the final 5 minutes of each “talk,” an adolescent Global G.L.O.W. girl participant will share her perspective on what it is like being a girl in her community, facing the issue discussed during the session (be that stepping up as a leader, improving women’s mental health, thriving in the face of disability, etc.). These talks give GLOW Club participants yet another opportunity to practice finding and using their voice, so that they can become powerful advocates and confident leaders in their communities. A huge thanks to Smita A., Susan Baaj, Bea Boccalandro, Dianne Belk, Jennie Blumenthal, Margot Carrington, Claudia Chan, Kelsey Chittick, linda cirigliano, Cecilia Conrad, Joy Donnell, Munika Lay, Nicole Amber Haggard, PhD, Raina Gandhi, Paula Kennedy Garcia, Michele Goodwin, Kristin Hull, PhD, Michelle Hrycauk Nassif (she/her), Mamta Valderrama, Scarlet Keys, Stacey Keare, Elaine Mak, Mai Moore 🌎, Lindsay Ruiz, EdD, Rashmi R. I am beyond thrilled to continue our new partnership with Suburban Propane, a company that shares our values of sustainability and reliability. When they mentioned that St. Francis Winery & Vineyards was one of their customers, I knew this was meant to be. St. Francis Cabernet has been a cornerstone of our wine kits at Culture With Us since day one, and I have always admired their commitment to the environment, equity, and economics - the three pillars of sustainability. It's clear that Suburban Propane and St. Francis Winery & Vineyards are aligned in their dedication to reducing their carbon footprint and supporting renewable energy sources. I recently had the opportunity to sit down with Jake Terrell, the vineyard manager at St. Francis, and Michael Stivala , CEO and President of Suburban Propane, to learn more about their day-to-day operations and how they utilize propane to increase efficiency. It was inspiring to see firsthand the efforts they are making to protect the environment while still producing exceptional wines. While I am a huge advocate for solar energy, I understand the need for wineries to have a reliable energy source, especially in California where wildfires are a constant threat. It's crucial for us to prioritize sustainability and protect our planet for future generations. I am grateful for the chance to have these conversations and learn from the incredible teams at St. Francis Winery & Vineyards and Suburban Propane. Together, we are working towards a more sustainable future for all. 🍷🌎🍇 Visit my Instagram to check our interview with Jake and Mike in the vineyard @Alexschrec.
