In 1886, we were founded as the Young Men's Christian Association, but today, we are The Y. Part of a world-class organization, we are one of the area’s leading nonprofits, that values, and is made stronger by, its diverse people. At our quarterly staff meeting on Friday, everybody wore black to honor the Y’s commitment to being an antiracist organization. Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) is a critical part of our mission, and working collectively to address social justice issues is how we are going to create real change. By wearing black, we show solidarity and unite in advocacy of social justice for all.
