Exciting News! Sun Chemical has received formal recognition from the Association of Plastic Recyclers (APR) for our commitment to recyclability. Our products SunSpectro® SolvaWash and SolarFlex™ CRCL both meet the highest criteria outlined in the APR Design® Guide for Plastics Recyclability, reducing our carbon footprint and advancing #sustainability. We are proud to announce that Sun Chemical's SunSpectro® SolvaWash and SolarFlex™ CRCL have both been recognized as systems that have passed HDPE-CG-01 path 1B at 100% ink coverage on approved label substrates with 20% surface coverage for natural HDPE bottles by the Association of Plastic Recyclers (APR).

The Sun Chemical team at our Carlstadt location hosted teens from the Yes, M.I.S.S. Inc. The group of students started with a tour of our cosmetics lab, viewed our cosmetic showcase, learned how UV inks are made, and had good dialogue with our staff as they visited our labs. A group of trainees from Sun Chemical in Besigheim, Germany traveled to Berlin to attend a nationwide award ceremony for the best "energy scouts". During the IHK certificate course, the trainees undergo an energy efficiency crash course and then implement an energy-saving project. The best projects are determined annually in a competition and honored in Berlin. The trainees from our site in Besigheim were nominated for their project on testing and eliminating compressed air leaks as well as testing and replacing defective steam traps.
