My name is Traci Taylor-Roberts, CEO of Sodalis Senior Living. We manage two communities in Houston, Texas – Sky Active Living Paradise Springs and Sky Active Living Cypress Woods. Both communities were impacted by hurricane Beryl, leaving us without power for 7 days. With over 200 residents, including 8 on oxygen at Paradise and 7 at Cypress, we urgently need power restoration. After over 30 years in senior living, and experiencing various natural disasters, the lack of response from the power company post-hurricane Beryl is unprecedented. I urge Jason P. Wells, CEO of CenterPoint, to prioritize power restoration. With four centenarian residents and others reliant on oxygen, the situation is critical. Mr. Wells, with an annual income exceeding $3.4 million, it's time to act. A level one hurricane has already caused significant distress; we cannot afford to wait for a more severe event. Redirecting funds to bolster lineman support is imperative for the safety and well-being of our residents and the community.
