  • Happening Now! The Governor's Tri-Star and Stripes Council is conducting their quarterly meeting in Nashville. The Council consists of 13 members, including members of the Lee administration, the Tennessee General Assembly, local leaders, key veterans service organizations and a military family representative across the state of Tennessee. The Council takes the following actions to position Tennessee as a leading state for service members, Veterans and their families to work, live and prosper: - Increase coordination between all state agencies related to military and veterans - Ensure collaboration of key public and private military and Veteran's programs - Promote Tennessee as the best state in the nation for military and veterans by pursuing strategic initiatives to enhance their quality of life • • • #TNVeterans

  • Mr. Frank Baxter, an unclaimed Veteran who served in the U.S. Air Force, will be laid to rest at the West TN State Veterans Cemetery on Monday, July 22, 2024, at 1pm CST. Mr. Baxter was a Vietnam Veteran who was awarded numerous awards during his service to our country, to include the Purple Heart and the Air Force Commendation Medal.
