Thank you for another successful Career Discovery session hosted by the Village Community Foundation! This program continues to introduce students to careers in media, entertainment and finance through compelling fireside chats with executives in the industry.
Have you ever wondered what might have been if... 🤔 you knew about industries, companies, careers, jobs, and skills BEFORE you made a life-changing decision on which path to go down? This is a key concept that drives Career Discovery, a marquee program at the Village Community Foundation. Exciting companies and their senior executives come together with emerging talent to help them learn (and this is our motto) "how to get in." But none of this important work would be possible without the constellation of people, companies, and organizations that make it happen. A big spotlight to all of them: Liz Fine of Wheelhouse Kenny Green, CPA of American Express Makeda Mays green of Paramount Carla Rothberg of A+E Networks Paulette Clark-Norfleet of Netflix Lisa Peters of Netflix Jordan Lue of Connecticut Innovations Valerie Laleuf of ITV America Julia Lambert of ITV America Maryann Lonergan of ITV America SE Cupp of CNN's SE Cupp Unfiltered Anthony Altomaro, MSA,CPA of Apollo Global Management, Inc. David Gioiella of Northern Lights Russ McCarroll of Pocket Square Productions Sean Thorpe of WWE Akira Dunham of Connecticut Innovations and our partners: University of Connecticut Digital Media Connecticut Connecticut State Colleges & Universities Norwalk Community College LiveGirl Waterside School University of New Haven REACH Prep Stamford Public Schools FUTURE 5
