This week at our National Sales Conference in Los Angeles, CA, we recognized some extraordinary colleagues from the Wonderful Sales & Merchandising team whose tireless pursuit of excellence, positive can-do attitude, and play-to-win mentality have earned them the prestigious Silver Heart Award. This award honors those who consistently exceed expectations and drive our sales growth to new heights. Every year, the senior sales and merchandising team identifies 10-12 individuals across four regional areas in North America for their exemplary work in the field. From designing monthly topical training sessions to developing a survey that ensured seamless execution for 70+ stores participating in a new pallet program, to obtaining a month-long berry case placement, and so much more—this year’s recipients go above and beyond every day. Congratulations to: Michael Osborne, Shane Dickerson, Caitlin Grindberg, George Pineda, Peter Milling, Denis Judge, Karen Garcia, Casey O'Malley, David Guynup, Dustin Wellman, Jake Secoolish, and Beau Blockovich.

At the end of June, Wonderful employees in Shafter, CA embraced the spirit of being a Wonderful Neighbor by hosting their first volunteer event at the new Wonderful Career Center. Partnering with The Open Door Network, participants packed essentials kits for our unhoused neighbors in Kern County. Events like this provide an opportunity for employees to engage in local communities where they live and work. 🇨🇦 Happy Canada Day to our Canadian colleagues, past and present. For 157 years, Canadians around the world have marked this day to reflect on the country's rich history and show their pride. Our Wonderful colleagues shared a few fun facts about why they love Canada: 🍁 It is the second-largest country in the world with six time zones. 🍁 The maple leaf has been a symbol of Canada since the 1800s. 🍁 Canada’s national animal is a beaver and the national sport is hockey. 🍁 The biggest and most well-liked coffee chain is Tim Hortons.

In its inaugural "L.A. Influential" list, the Los Angeles Times recognized our co-founders and co-owners, Lynda and Stewart Resnick, among the Angelenos making a difference and driving the city toward a better future. With $2.5 billion in philanthropy and corporate social responsibility to date, the profile spotlights the Resnicks' historic $750 million gift to Caltech for sustainability research announced in 2019. Ahead of the Resnick Sustainability Center opening this fall, the L.A. Times notes that “With their donation, the longtime local arts patrons single-handedly made Caltech a leader in a field at the forefront of existential concern." Read the L.A.
