In Celebration of National Women's History Month, we are celebrating some of our "Worthy Women of the Worthington". Some of our outstanding women ambassadors and leaders. This week is Maggie Lewis, one of our Senior Sales Executives. We asked Maggie a few questions: What about your job are you proud or passionate about? I love what I do as I get the opportunity to work with so many people from different backgrounds and walks of life across multiple industries. It’s exciting to learn what is most important to each individual planner so I can help them create a memorable experience for their attendees here at the Worthington! How do you give back to the Community? I believe it’s important to be involved in the local community. My daughter and I have donated items to our local food bank. It’s important for us to give back to the community, and I get the chance to show my daughter the importance of giving back where we can. Why do you love Ft. Worth and the Worthington? Fort Worth is a hidden gem! As we like to say, we are “Authentic Texas!” I love the fact that there is so much to see and do... Everything from the Stock Yards to the Art District, Sundance Square, Billy Bob’s, and more! What I love most about the Worthington, however, is the people. Everyone here is authentic, genuine, and passionate about what they do each day. I am honored to work with this incredible team and help create memorable experiences for our guests. How do you influence other young women to have a seat at the table. What advice can you give them? This is something that I feel passionate about and try to instill in my daughter, which is the importance of believing in yourself. There are times where you might feel you aren’t good enough or smart enough or you just don’t think you can make a difference. But that’s not true. You have the power to re-write your story and only you can find the strength within yourself. I was a young single mother when I started in the hospitality industry ten years ago. Through hard work, perseverance and believing in myself, I was able to provide for my family and become someone I hope my daughter can be proud of. Thank you, Maggie, for all that you do and represent for the Worthington Renaissance!
