As summer begins, The Hip Hop Museum is excited to announce the launch of our inaugural "My Camera Is My Weapon" summer program. Hosted at DREAM Academy in the Bronx and Cristo Rey High School in Brooklyn, the program runs from July 8th, 2024, to August 9th, 2024. This dynamic program empowers youth by blending the art of photography with the vibrant culture of Hip Hop and social justice themes. Participants will have the opportunity to learn a valuable, transferable skill that they can use throughout their lives. They will also have the chance to interact with guest photographers and filmmakers. Executive Director at the Third Avenue Business Improvement District (BID) in the South Bronx

Great conversation on Friday with Rocky Bucano - CEO, The Hip Hop Museum at The Hip Hop Museum about featuring art, music, and culture more prominently in the South Bronx leading into their grand opening and beyond. The Bronx is the home of Hip Hop and there's an untapped ecosystem that can be built to elevate the contributions of so many Bronxites. The Hip Hop Museum brings with it hundreds of affordable housing units, public space, a playground, waterfront park, and will be home to several non-profit organizations like BronxWorks. More to come! L+M Development Partners LLC Tirschwell Annie

Today in Hip Hop History, The Hip Hop Museum (THHM) broke ground on a vacant lot now known as Bronx Point. It’s amazing how time flies! We are almost at the finish line. In just over a year from now, we will finally have our grand opening, and at that time, the Hip Hop community will finally have a place to call home. THHM is the Official Record of Hip Hop‼️

To ensure that we open next year with a museum that the Hip Hop culture deserves, donate by texting Hip Hop to 707070 or go to www.THHM.org/donate.

Shoutout to @thebandwashere on Instagram for the inspiration on the picture 🙏🏾.
