Join Bryan Gammons and other environmental experts at Northeast Energy & Commerce Association’s Environmental 101 event next week, where speakers will provide an overview of how the #energy industry is affected by regulations and policy. Bryan will present a case study on our work with Eversource Energy on the Mystic to Woburn Project, a new 115kV underground transmission line spanning 8 miles from Mystic to Woburn that was completed earlier this year. Tracy Adamski is serving as co-chair of the event, taking place at the BSC Group’s office at 1 Mercantile Street in Worcester. Register here: https://ow.ly/PAOe50SFcK0 #environmentalregulations

About us
In a field known for black-and-white thinking, Tighe & Bond focuses on bright ideas, green strategies, and clear solutions. Working with public and private organizations across the northeast, our engineering and environmental consulting projects demand creative, collaborative responses to complex questions. Four things combine to make us unique. First is our commitment to thoroughly understanding client needs, and through that understanding, help them succeed. Second is our deliberate regional focus on the northeastern United States. We like it that way, and frankly, so do our clients. Third is our position as a major firm in this dynamic region. We have very strong, full-service offerings staffed locally by people who live in these communities. And fourth is our ownership model. We’re owned by our employees, so we all feel truly invested in our clients’ success. We’re built this way on purpose. These four elements fuse together to assure outstanding client and project outcomes, and exciting opportunities for employees. Tighe & Bond’s talented engineers, planners, scientists, landscape architects and support staff do great work that benefits our clients, our communities and this entire region that we love.

We’re happy to have served on the project team with Fontaine Bros., Inc.! We provided civil, mechanical (HVAC), and electric engineering services from initial planning phases through construction administration.
We’re excited to share that our team has successfully completed the installation of a temporary dining hall at Deerfield Academy! This new dining facility ensures that students can continue to enjoy sit-down meals in comfort and style while we embark on phase 2 of our project: an exciting renovation and expansion of the existing Dining Hall. This temporary setup is designed with students' needs in mind, offering a cozy and welcoming atmosphere where they can gather, relax, and refuel. We can’t wait to reveal the new and improved Dining Hall, which will feature state-of-the-art facilities and a modern design to enhance the dining experience. #StudentLife #CampusRenovation

With sound redevelopment strategies, #Brownfields can be transformed from neighborhood blight into a community asset that returns underutilized properties to the tax base, contributes to the local economy, and provides social and health benefits. We work with private and public entities to assess sites, identify funding mechanisms for redevelopment, then design and oversee cleanup while mitigating risk. On Tuesday, the City of Norwalk, Connecticut along with elected officials broke ground on drainage improvements to the Lockwood Lane and Heather Lane neighborhood. We are serving as the design engineer for this critical stormwater resiliency project that will address increasingly frequent flooding and separate a combined sewer system. The improvements, funded by a $5.1M grant from the State of Connecticut’s Community Investment Fund, will help to alleviate flooding issues for over 150 homes in the area. https://ow.ly/W5eI50Sz6xB #connecticut #stormwater #civilengineering

Joseph Persechino and Ben Curcio were featured on the latest episode of the Energy Environment Economy podcast, discussing the innovative Tuscan Village development in Salem, NH along with Leslie Lima-Vazquez from the Tuscan team. This 170-acre site, formerly the location of the Rockingham Park racetrack, had sat vacant for years before beginning redevelopment in 2016. The multiphase plan for redevelopment emphasized green infrastructure and stormwater control, helping to fulfill the vision of the development as having social, environmental, and economic benefits. https://ow.ly/HOmP50Sz5E8

Eastham Town Hall, built in 1851, is listed on the Massachusetts Register of Historic Places. This community cornerstone has been undergoing a restoration to improve the building’s function and aesthetic. Our team, working alongside Keenan and Kenny Architects, provided civil and structural engineering design and construction contract administration for the project. We look forward to its completion.

After the recent approval of project funding by the New Hampshire state legislature, we are beginning an assessment for Mount Washington State Park, one of the nation’s most well-known mountain destinations. Working with the New Hampshire Department of Natural & Cultural Resources (DNCR), various summit partners and stakeholders, and subconsultants (LDa, Biohabitats, and the UNH Survey Center), we will be focusing on creating an inventory of the park's natural resources and facilities, studying the impact of climate change, and engaging the public through a visitor survey and statewide polling. Our goal is to develop a roadmap for future projects that will preserve the park’s sensitive alpine environment while enhancing the summit as a premier visitor destination. https://ow.ly/oZpz50SyjFR #MountWashington #EnvironmentalPreservation
