Have a Happy Fourth of July, everyone! As we come together to celebrate this national holiday, we also take a moment to acknowledge and respect the history of the Cherokee people who originally inhabited this land. This Fourth of July, let’s honor both our shared history and the strides we are making toward a brighter, united future.

On June 19th 1965, 2,000 Union Troops arrived in Galveston Bay, TX. The army expressed by executive decree that the more than 250,000 enslaved people were declared free. Juneteenth is a day of profound historical significance and a celebration of freedom and resilience. The historical legacy of Juneteenth shows the value of never giving up hope in uncertain times. At UT Research Park, we are committed to fostering innovation in an environment regardless of background. We will continue to advance to a better future where everyone has opportunities to succeed.
