Our CEO, Tequilla Brownie, Ed.D., asks: “Is it not common sense that the systems to support students mirror their lived experience, uninhibited by false walls created by fragmented governance, funding, and policy structures?”   Students are not the sum total of what happens within the four walls of their school – but rather the sum total of their whole life experience. The future of millions of young people hinge on our collective ability to forge interconnected systems, bridging education and workforce.   Let’s work together: https://ow.ly/HJcW50QyolW   #EveryGenerationThrives #MeetTNTP #GuidedByPurpose

At TNTP, we envision a PreK–12 experience for every young person that upends the predictive influence of poverty and race on their life and fuels innovation and growth across our nation. But we can’t achieve our bold vision within the traditional four walls of education. We must forge cross sector partnerships that break down the false walls between K12, workforce, and other systems that shape students' lives. If you're headed to Jobs for the Future (JFF)'s #JFFHorizons, be sure to join us July 22 at 11am to hear more from Tequilla Brownie, Ed.D. as she shares what we must do to give all young people an equal opportunity to thrive in the 21st century workplace. #TNTPAtJFF #ThePowerOfUs

Each year, our nation grows more diverse. But our educator workforce is not keeping up. But rather than lamenting these gaps, we here TNTP are inspired by the opportunity we see to tap a rapidly growing pool of young and mid-career professionals who identify as people of color. Together, let’s build an educator workforce that will ensure every student in every classroom thrives: https://ow.ly/OhRH50QGtoc #DiversifyEd #GuidedByPurpose #CloseTheGap

When you think about your legacy, what do you want it to be? For Johari Toe, our Director of the Baltimore City Teacher Residency, her answer comes down to two words: acceptance and self-advocacy. "I hope those who engage with me along my life’s journey see the importance of being able to look in the mirror and love the person that is staring back at them, being able to wholly accept that mistakes will happen, but the joy of the journey is forgiveness and moving forward and celebrating small wins every day," she says. It's a legacy goal not only inspired by the work she's doing today, but also by the experiences she had back in the day. Here's her story: https://ow.ly/8sNC50SmZau #FlashbackFriday

On June 19, 1865, the last enslaved African Americans were delivered the news of their freedom marking Juneteenth a time of celebration symbolizes hope and liberation. Though its significance faded into national obscurity, kept alive only by the descendants of its initial celebrants, Juneteenth has reclaimed its place in history. From obscurity to grassroots activism, to a federal holiday, its journey is a testament to perseverance and community spirit. Let’s honor its legacy and celebrate! Happy Juneteenth! 🎉 #Juneteenth #NationalHoliday
