The stories behind the smiles - It’s always a special event when we welcome our new Residents. Today, PGY-1 Internal Medical Resident Vera Kalra, MBBS said, “The event was everything I had hoped it would be.” Carolina Giraldo, DO, also a PGY-1 in Internal Medicine, thought of her family when she said, “My father died when I was 18. I would have done anything to help him live. I thought if I would have done that for him I should do it for other people. And, that’s what brought me here.” We’re proud to be a part of HCA Healthcare and it’s growing GME program.

1st Anniversary Celebration! When our Live Oak Mental Health & Wellness opened last year, it was the first mental health hospital to open in the Charleston, SC region in more than 30 years. The facility opened providing inpatient and outpatient mental health services to adolescents (age 12+) and adults.
