We'd like to give a warm welcome to our new Managing Attorney, Mercedes Fagan! Mercedes is a licensed attorney in the state of Georgia and is now the Managing Attorney of our southern Atlanta market. Mercedes earned her Juris Doctor degree at Vermont Law School after graduating summa cum laude from Western Carolina University with a Bachelor's in Political Science. During law school, she worked as a judicial extern for Judge Pandora Palmer at the Superior Court of Henry County, refining her writing, research, and litigation skills. This experience helped her secure her first role as a general practice attorney at the largest firm on the south side of Atlanta. Mercedes has experience in local government law, eminent domain, personal injury, business litigation, estate planning, and probate. Licensed to practice in state and federal courts in Georgia and Tennessee, including both states' Supreme Courts and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, Natalie embodies a fusion of legal acumen and financial strategy. TrustWorks welcomes Payton Smith, Esq. to the team! Payton Smith is a licensed attorney in the state of Georgia and is a now a Managing Attorney in one of our Atlanta offices. She is originally from Charlotte, North Carolina, but has recently moved to Atlanta, Georgia. In 2020, Ms. Smith earned her B.A. in Political Science and minor in Business from LaGrange College, in LaGrange, Georgia. In 2023, she then received her J.D. from Faulkner University, in Montgomery, Alabama. During law school, Ms. Smith worked as the sole corporate law clerk for Gray Television, Inc. In that role, she became familiar with several different areas of the law, such as contracts, property, business entities, and more. In addition, she received her Alternative Dispute Resolution certificate from Faulkner University and served as a mediator in multiple Alabama county courts. #TrustWorks #Wills #EstatePlanning #Trusts #RetirementPlanning

Fleischer is a licensed attorney in Florida and Illinois and is a now a Regional Partner at TrustWorks. Originally from the North Suburbs of Chicago, Mr. Fleischer has been in South Florida since 1993. He earned his B.B.A. in Finance, and J.D./M.B.A. from the University of Miami in Coral Gables. It was during law school when he determined that he wanted his area of law to help people, and that is why he focuses his practice on Estate Planning, Probate & Trust Administration. To differentiate himself from other attorneys, in 2006 Mr. Fleischer obtained his Certified Financial Planner designation or CFP® to better understand his client’s complex issues. Mr. Fleischer is a member of The Greater Boca Raton Estate Planning Council, the Florida Bar's Real Property Probate and Trust Law Section, and has sat on the Board of Directors of the Circle of Friends of the Alvin Sherman Library at Nova Southeastern University. Prior to joining TrustWorks, Mr. Fleischer had his own firm in Plantation and Boca Raton, where he helped his clients navigate through the Probate and Trust Administration process, and ensured his client’s assets were best protected and their affairs in order.
